Welcome to our website.

Davallia Primary School is situated in the established suburb of Duncraig and is bordered by Davallia Road, and Juniper Way. The school opened in 1974 and features three teaching blocks, an administration block, a library resource centre, a covered assembly area, a pre primary centre and an off-site kindergarten.

The school has a total student population that remains steady between 400 and 420 students. Currently there are two classes in each year level except for the half-cohort of students who are currently in Year Five. The on-site Education Support Unit caters for students with learning difficulties. Over the past decade the school population has remained relatively steady and is currently approaching capacity.

Currently the school has about 30 teaching staff and 12 non-teaching staff. They are supported by a Principal and two Deputy Principals in their delivery of education to the students. The Registrar and School Officer assist with the administration of the school.

The curriculum of the Department of Education is implemented throughout the school and the school operates under the auspices of the Education Act and policies of the Department of Education. The teaching programs encompass the eight learning areas as identified by the Curriculum Framework with students being offered specialist Music teaching and additional instrumental music programs for identified students from Years 3 to 7. All students from years 3 to 7 also participate in a French Language program.

Davallia Primary School has maintained a very high standard of both academic achievement and student behaviour. The school is very highly regarded by the local community which continues to value quality education for its children.

The school is extremely fortunate to have a very supportive school community. This is reflected in the number of improvements that have been funded by the community in recent years, including the air-conditioning of all buildings, the provision of new playground structures and the extension of the library. Currently the school community is working with the Federal Government to fund the enclosure of the covered assembly area. Parents are also active, through the School Council, in providing assistance with policy development, classroom programs, excursions and a safe set down and pick up of students.
